This new method, known as air abrasion, uses tiny particles carried to the tooth in a stream of air that gently and painlessly sprays away decay. Dr. Godart states that this method is used on adults and on children over 3 years of age. It is perfect for children who are making their first trip to the dentist with their first cavity. Patients have no reason to be apprehensive because there are no injections, no drilling and no discomfort.
