HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT BASEBALL?

1. With a runner on first and third with two out, the batter hits a hard grounder to the first base side of second base. The second baseman reaches out to tag the incoming runner who evades the tag by running outside the basepath. He is called out but not before the run scores. Does:


  1. The run score but the inning is ended?
  1. No run scores and the inning is ended?
  1. All of the above!?!?

2. In what situations can one player be called out twice on the same play?

  1. If he is forced out and tagged on a base.
  1. If he bats out of turn and hits a fly out.
  1. If he hits the ball which is a pop fly the hits him and, before it hits the ground, is caught???.
  1. It can't happen.

3. A player steals both second and third while the improper batter is at bat. That batter ends up getting on base. The opposing manager appeals to the umpire pointing out that he batted out of turn. Does:

  1. The runner has to go back to first and the batter who is now on first called out.
  1. The runner can stay on third while the runner on first is called out.
  1. he runner stays on third and so does the runner on first while the proper batter is called out.

Strangely, it goes up Larkin's sleeve and he begins wiggling and patting his shirt trying to get it out. How is this ruled?

  1. He now can just tag any runner with the use of his chest.
  1. If the runner has already rounded first, he may advance another base.
  1. All runners may advance one base without liability of being put-out.
  1. It counts as having control of the ball, but just can't find it, therefore all runners must hold.

10. Do all fielders' gloves have to meet certain specifications? If so, what are they?
